Open source is taking about 3% of market already (my rough estimation). Raising the ratio is what we would try to speed up.

A method for contributor organization is a recent result of some of things I've discovered a while ago. This method reflects freedom of choice and healthy competition while providing enough structure to keep the good work going on. We would try to offer the method publicly for using in any open source project management.

This is it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYlmno4D95w (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYlmno4D95w)

I'm proposing a site to be built, the one that would make things easy for open source programmers. They are already here, we just need to catch them up and things could start to develop in a new way. If the proposition would be proven to be successful in open source programming world, maybe it could have influence in other business branches.

I am a programmer and I am looking for a partner to nail this thing up together. Interested?

Someone shut down sourceforge?

Sourceforge is ok, but opensource could be much better than simply uploading of code and binaries.

I'm talking about human organization. Each public project would be publicly elaborated, well documented by each contributor. That way new programmers could easier choose on where they want to contribute, before joining any team.

It would be online collaboration tool, the one that reflects open source spirit. I caught well this spirit in the method described by video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYlmno4D95w) back there (this is link to exactly the same video).

I once tried to join one opensource project. I was lost, I couldn't get the man to give me the project tree, so I can contribute where I want to. Finally the man picked up the task for me to solve. I didn't like that kind of relationship, I ran away. I think we needed proposed kind of collaboration tool to cooperate.

The thing is, it's not Sourceforge's fault. It's the developers' fault. The tools are there, but you can't force the devs to be any more organized and documented than they already are. You don't need a new web site. You need to find a way to get the devs to want to do what you're talking about.
