View Full Version : [SOLVED] Window decoration oddity

When I start my Precise machine and log in the first time, my theme is what I expect, but my window decorations are a standard, boring Xubuntu default.

If I log out and back in (no reboot), I get the decorations I installed.

This started yesterday after (I believe) my updates.

Has anyone seen this, before I go digging?

I too am seeing some odd behavior, applets acquiring a style of their own, and I'm attributing it to the light themes update that happened in the last couple of days.

Bump?

Even saving the session doesn't help, which is really intriguing.

Try from a second account on the same computer to see if its an issue with your profile or a system-wide issue.

Seems to be just the one theme.

Tried several xfwm4 themes without problems (but Compiz effects don't work. That's a shame because I really liked one of the xfwm4 themes.)

Tried some GTK other themes with gtk-window-decorator. Worked fine.

I think it may just be one of those cases where the theme I'm using isn't up to date and something else was updated.

For the time being I'll just tolerate the "double log in" and check in once in a while to see if there is a newer version of the theme -- or just use one of the nifty ones I was playing with last night.)
