Hi there,

I just joined this forum in hope of getting some answers related to the installation of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I have desktop that's running Windows XP (Home edition). I have 2 HD, the C:\ has XP installed and I am trying to install Ubuntu on my E:\ drive which is the second HD. After the installation completes I reboot the machine as per instruction and when I get prompted to choose between XP and Ubuntu, I choose Ubuntu and get this error msg. saying “try hd0 0 ntfs5 error: prefix is not set”. I have tried looking for answers over the net but did not find a clear solution to this. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
