Let's be honest, we're all friends here. Also, we all want some extra space from the brand new Ubuntu One referral system.

Seeing as we've had a few Dropbox Referral (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1128464) threads in the past, I thought an Ubuntu One thread would be appropriate as well.



How does 25GB of free Ubuntu One storage sound to you?
Well that’s the total space on offer for free Ubuntu One accounts as part of the newly-launched Ubuntu One referral scheme.
Taking a leaf out of the Dropbox book, whose popularity was spurred on by its referral scheme, Canonical are offering 500MB of extra space for every one person you get to sign up to Ubuntu One. An extra 500MB for you, and an extra 500MB for the signee.
The bad news for many of us is that the people most likely to use Ubuntu One already are. This makes racking up the full 40 referrals needed to nab 20GB of space might a bit of a challenge.
But we all love a challenge, right?

I got the extra 20.00 GB of free cloud storage capacity tonight. It took quite a bit of effort, but I now have 25.00 GB of free Ubuntu One cloud storage capacity. I also set my Deja Dup to make encrypted backups to my Ubuntu One account tonight.

Unless they expand their free storage capacity sometime soon, I can not take any more referrals. Thank you.

I'm trying Ubuntu One because I want to see if I can store URL links and open them like bookmarks, I know there are other ways to do this, but I want to see if I can do it that way or someone could just tell me if I can do that or not.
