Hi, I recently built a new computer using some unneeded parts at work and some I bought myself
Here's the basics
ASrock 970 extreme3 motherboard
Sapphire radeon 6950 2gb
Amd fx4170
Spinpoint f3 1tb 7.2k rpm
Instead of installing windows I decided to try Ubuntu instead. I used pen drive to install bootable 12.04, however when I first booted up (everything detected and working as it should [or so I think]) and installed Ubuntu, it prompted me to restart, but as soon as it tried to boot off my hdd it gave me a black screen like a command prompt. Thinking it wasa faulty install, I reinstalled. This time I got a flashing pink screen. I redid the boot USB and attempted an install again, still not working I choose to try Ubuntu off the USB and it booted up and the trial was fine.

Is this a problem with ,my graphics driver? If so...or not...how can I fix this?
