Hi,

I have installed ubuntu 10.10 after installing windows xp (/dev/sda1). I could see the windows xp entry on starting up in grub but I could not go into xp. Whenever I select the xp entry and press enter one blank screen is appearing and again the default ubuntu 10.10 is appearing.

While installing ubuntu 10.10 I have selected the /dev/sda1 to install the boot loader, infact it was showing that xp is installed on /dev/sda1.

First time when i installed ubuntu i have selected /dev/sda to install the boot loader, but i failed to invoke xp. Then again reinstalled the ubuntu after formatting the ubuntu partition.

This is my /boot/grub/grub.cnf file

Partition table entries are not in disk order

Is there any problem with the last line of fdisk -l output
"partition table entries are not in disk order" ?

Kindly help me. Thank you in advance.

Just a note: 10.10 is no longer supported. ;)
