View Full Version : [kde] I'm having difficulty using installed cursor themes

I'm running Kubuntu 12.04 on my laptop and I have installed a cursor theme by going to
System Settings->Workspace Appearance->Cursor Theme->Get New Theme

It downloaded and it says it's installed, but it is not selectable from the menu and it doesn't tell me where it downloaded to. I also had this same problem before when I tried to install a login screen theme through
System Settings->Login Screen->Theme->Get New Themes.

Has anyone else been able to successfully install and use themes through this menu? Is there some way I can resolve this issue?

I know you asked about Kubuntu but this thread on Xubuntu might give you some tips.

There have been downloads which dont auto extract.. who knows why.

Which theme was it? maybe you can find it and extract to .icons (show hidden files in dolphin) in the home directory.
