So, i decided to give the webapps a spin. Immediately, things started going wrong. Chromium suddenly wouldn't show any content in the browser pane. Not even the settings display. So, I just used firefox for a while. But, firefox was ridiculously sluggish and would freeze every few seconds for about one second. So, I decided to unistall unity-webapps. Then, to make sure things were copacetic, I logged out and went to log back in to unity. Typed my password, and it was accepted. But after about 3 seconds with a blank screen, I was right back at the light-dm login screen. Rinse and repeat a few times, same thing. So, I think I'll try a different DE than Unity to see if that will work. Click the DE list button, and Unity isn't even there. Gone. Not home. I try a remote login, "sudo apt-get install unity" and it's already installed.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how I could go back to the way things were before the webapps borked my day?
