View Full Version : [ubuntu] Glitches after recompiling GSettings schemas

Hello,

A program I was compiling yesterday needed me to compile the GSettings schemas. Now, I'm having various problems.

Applications using GTK+ 2 (and Qt, for some reason) now use the fallback theme (the ugly one).
Ctrl stopped showing cursor's position (box is still ticked)
Toolbars now use the huge text-below-icons style, even those in GTK+ 3.
Menus now show up in windows as well as in the top bar
Some applications are missing from Unity's Application lens (GIMP 2.8)

Is there any way I can fix this?

Thanks,
Filip

(note that this is pretty much a cross-post from askubuntu, question is here (http://askubuntu.com/questions/173706/system-appearance-changed-after-recompiling-gsettings-schemas)).

Bump; I know I probably brought that on myself, but I want to get my desktop back.

New glitches: Apps now produce way more sounds (clicking on buttons, etc.)

Packages reinstalled: gsettings-desktop-schemas, libgtk-2, and a couple of others.
