Clearlooks-Cairo?

I know that Dapper doesn't use the Cairo-enabled Clearlooks in the repos. Is there any intention to update with the Cairo version in the future, when it's more cleaned up and formalized, or is the animated Cairo version still considered too much of a hack like it was in the old days?

I'm curious, because in my opinion, Xgl/Compiz + Clearlooks-Cairo = hot, and helps to sell Linux to friends and family, even if it mostly just eye candy.
