In a freshly installed ubuntu I get this error:

It falls to a busybox shell.
Fedora is able to boot, but in 50% or so of the times it failed saying that it could not load a mono font(?). (I have no idea if those problems are connected).
LiveCDs and usbs works fine.
Has any one had this problem before? Does anyone know how to fix it?
Some info on my computer:
Hp pavilion dv4
-Computer-
Processor : 2x Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5800 @ 2.00GHz
Memory : 3000MB
Operating System : Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
