So i downloaded this new thing called "apt-fast." It runs in terminal just like "apt-get" but it uses multiple connections to increase package downloads. I was curious if anyone has used this and was also curious if there was a way to either create a symbolic link or bind the apt-fast command to the apt-get command so it will always use the fast one.

iv'e never heard of that but all you would have to do is swap out the binaries in either bin or usr/bin but i wouldnt recomend it because to the best of my knowledge softwarecenter and some other programs rely on apt.

It's good for those of us with slow speeds. Those with fast connections won't notice much of a difference.
Plus, it seems to improve only the "upgrade" part and not the "update" part.
And, as zenhacker suggests, just keep things separate :)
