I think this has been asked/answered but cannot find it using search. I have a wallpaper that is quite light and the fonts under the icons are white with shadows. They are not all that easy to see and read--fine if the background image was black or dark. How do you change the color of the icon fonts???

Right now it is Unity and the theme is ECO and Radiance. I used MyUnity and that seems to have changed the icon font color. I would much prefer more control over the fonts on the icons on the desktop.

Here's the thing. I end up with the title bar of the desktop "Ubuntu Desktop" overlaying the menu items for any applications that are running. I have tried various themes and all seem to have this problem. I do not really see the necessity of this "Ubuntu Desktop" showing up anyway--I already know I am in Ubuntu and I know that I am seeing the Desktop. what gives with this?
