I'm trying out 12.04LTS with dual-boot 10.04LTS.
Just curious as to why the old 10.04 uses the 64 bit .deb Chrome, while the new 12.04 uses the 32 bit .deb Chrome.
Seems this is a step backward...?

That seems like something you did on your own, as I'm running a 64bit Precise with a 64bit version of Google-Chrome.
The chrome download page defaults to 32bit, as when in doubt for someone who wants to run chrome, but doesn't know what their system is, the 32bit version will run on their system regardless of what they have.
If you know what your system is running then changing the selection to 64bit is a simple click.

No, I tried the 64 bit and got the attached screenshot.
So, I just went back and done the 32 bit.

This is what I got:

3.2.0-27-generic-pae #43-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 6 15:06:05 UTC 2012 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux

But, I installed the 64bit installation according to : https://help.ubuntu.com/12.04/installation-guide/amd64/index.html

OK, thanks; but, I was sure I chose the 64.
Appreciate the help

By the by, could this be why my screen will say 'Input Unsupported' for a few before Ubuntu loads?
I thought it was just the old computer, tried Xubuntu and Lubuntu with same results.
