Hello guys.
First post here!
I really need to install Ubuntu in my Desktop, but there's a problem, better explained with a print-screen:

Well, I've already tried to install older versions of Ubuntu, nothing gained.
Damn, I really need Ubuntu, it's not for fun or anything, I need for a class that I'll have next year.
Wainting for help. Thanks in advance.

C'mon people.
No one? Is this impossible to solve?

Unfortunately my post isn't a solution, but I'm also getting a "panic occurred, switching back to text console" message.
The lines preceding it are a bit different to yours, but I have a similar issue nonetheless (no one's responded to my most recent post either).
Just a quick question... Can you boot into any live CD or USB at all? For me, my 11.10 live CD works, but nothing else (Ubuntu or otherwise) works. I had to use that 11.10 CD to reinstall Ubuntu and upgrade. Twice. Which was a nightmare.
I had hoped I could switch to another distro, but no other live CD/USB worked (though they worked on another computer). So I'm just wondering if we have the same problem.
I know a number of things can cause a kernel panic, but a solution for you may be a solution for me. I don't know.
Again, sorry that this isn't too helpful. I hope someone with the relevant knowledge can help you out.

Thanks for the reply anyway.
No one seems to know what's the problem unfortunately :(
Well, in my case, none LIVE CD works.

have you checked the md5sum of the downloaded image?

i am assuming everyhitng is ok with the CPU... are you trying 64 bit or 32 bit version?
Have you tried alternate install disk?
