I want to know how to remove the other cover so I can get to the other side of the motherboard and drive bays so I can remove the floppy drive (circled in red) so that I can put a 200 GB hard drive in for my Linux server. How do I go about removing the other side, or is the motherboard attached to it? I don't know what to do and DON'T want to break the system.

It's an old tower from when I was in my late teens in high school, still runs smoothly to this day. I just want to turn it into a server.

One hard drive with Windows Server 2003 and the 200 GB hard drive for the Linux server. Any help would be greatly appreciated. =)

You should be able to insert a small flat bladed screen driver under the lip on the front of the case, and gently pry the cover towards the front of the case.

Update: I got both covers off, but now trying to remove the piece that holds the motherboard in place...all of this just to remove the floppy drive. Lol

You should not need to remove the motherboard to take out the floppy.

The floppy and hard drive are mounted in a cage. the entire cage should pull out the front. There should be two tabs to squeeze allowing you to remove the cage. It looks like the two tabs are covered a little by your red circle.

You may need to wiggle the cage a pull at the same time, as it can be a tight fit.

I left it alone and put the thing back in. I'm gonna remove one of the other hard drives instead.
