Hi everyone,

I'm unable to make a fresh install of 12.04 on my pretty dated computer. The installation process crashes immediately after I choose a user picture. There is a message that "colord crashed with SIGABRT in raise ()".

Interestingly, I've tried a fresh install of Lubuntu 11.10, and it also crashed due to colord crash. Installing Ubuntu 10.10 went without a hitch, though.

I suspect there is some hardware problem. Here are some details:

CPU AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3200+
RAM 2.0 GiB
Video card: Nvidia Geforce 6800

Please help me to solve this

Another piece of information - when I click "Report the problem", it refuses to do so due to a bunch of obsolete packages present on the system. (it is a fresh install of 12.04 LTS)
