Hello

I would like to reintroduce PitchTempoPlayer, an audio player for Linux that can change picth or speed of the sound on the fly, while playing. Recording is also possible. The playlist can be managed by multiple drag-and-drop. The resulting file (either from record, or from a pre-existing file) can be exported to a flac file. It is compatible with JACK.

It is based on Gstreamer for audio and GTK 2 or 3 for GUI.

It is available on sourceforge (https://sourceforge.net/projects/ptplayer/files/).

Until now I have used Audacity for that. It's nice to have a GTK alternative now. It looks like a simpler user interface too. Thanks!

Thank you for your comment.

The difference with Audacity is that there is a real playlist interface here, like a normal player. PitchTempoPlayer is more a player/recorder that has pitch and tempo editing facilities (and also an equalizer), than a real audio editor like the excellent software Audacity:)
