12.04 desktop icons shown as question mark

Hi,
Is anyone else having this problem. I have upgraded to Ubuntu 12.4 (from 11.4) and some of the desktop launcher icons on the left are appearing as grey question mark boxes. It's like the icon image has gone.

Were they custom entries ?

No, they where downloads from the software store and self installed into the icon bar.

I should have said that they did show up as the proper icons on set up - the ? only appeared on the next boot up.

This was an issue with one of the audio program icons I was using that went gray with a question mark all of a sudden.

Fix: Just right click, unlock from launcher, search for it in Dash Home, and then relaunch it and lock to launcher again.

Worked for me. Good luck!
