I have searched and all I get is to edit the menu from the preferences.
Is there a way to remove the games listing from the menu. I followed the rules but cant get rid of most of the games.

Thanks

first which version are you using?

if you want to get rid of gnome-games go to a terminal and enter the following:

sudo apt-get purge gnome-games

that should remove them all.

If you are using one of the Gnome desktops on 11.10 or 12.04 and have alacarte installed games can be removed from the main menu . This will not work in Unity because the applications can be located in dash .

All you need to is right click on the menu --> edit menu and remove the check by the games tab.
