I am currently running Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. I'm thinking of grabbing a copy of 12.04 Precise Pangolin. Would it be worth it? Is it any better than Lucid?

If you have 10.04 and it's working well for you, why bother? It'll be supported for another year.
I like 12.04 so far quite well. But if you're going to switch, it's probably best to do a fresh reinstallation rather than an upgrade.

I have to agree with Cortman....I downloaded an .iso of 12.0.4 LTS just
to try it out without installing it....it didn't even finish loading
the CD before it got an error...

the devs are aware of the bug the message said...

I will stick with 10.0.4 LTS for a while until the bugs are out of 12.0.4...

if you have not seen or tried Ubuntu since 10.0.4, you will be
surprised by the change from Gnome to the Unity interface....

it will take a little time to get used to it....

i would lubi (Linux Ubuntu Boot Installer) to see if you like it more because if you dont like it you can just delete it like any other program

there are also other variants for windows (wubi) and OsX (oubi)

I think lubi would be a very good idea for just trying 12.04 and seeing if it would be a good option. Thank you joco1500.
