I have windows/ubuntu on dual boot. in windows I see that Firefox and other apps with white pages look Pure-White but on same laptop-screen-brightness the screens looks off-white in Ubuntu.
My assumptions: Ubuntu comes with default DARK-THEME. So perhaps it has some thing to do with that. Or may be some issue with driver.
Just to elaborate more. see the following image:

Its relatively soothing / light colour scheme. For me its still not the match to the soothing colours and feel off openness in Windows. I feel claustrophobic when I use Ubuntu. Due to two main reasons 1- dark/dull colours 2- Side and Top bar which makes me feel that I am restricted from all the sides.
Any help is appreciated. though if some one can right steps or commands, I will be able to follow it better.
