Hello guys,

I currently have an iMac with a triple boot but I'd like to switch back to a laptop. I got this iMac for the 27" and I wouldn't want to get rid of such a high workspace so an option macbook pro + thunderbolt display seems nice.
However, I am not sure how this display works when running ubuntu on a macbook pro. It looks like it's working somehow with a fix needed for a high CPU issue but I could not find much information this setup. Do you guys are using the thunderbolt display as a monitor and a hub?

EDIT: Just to be clear, I don't mind using something else than the thunderbolt display. I am thinking of the Dell U2711 which has a Display Port AND a HDMI input. Can we use the Thunderbolt port on the MBP to connect to the display port of the U2711?
Thanks,
