Empathy not working for office communicator

hi,

I am trying to get the empathy work with offfice commnicator and its not connecting. I have got the SSL certificates that administrators install on windows machine., however I am not able to install them in ubuntu machine. Please help me figure this out.
HOw do I install the certificates in ubuntu 12.04 when I have the ip address of the ocs server I am connecting to instead of its name.

I tried in pidgin too.. I got a prompt to accept the certificate after that its always showing read error and is not able to connect.,
