Hello,
I installed Moto GP URT 3 (which is outdated but I still love it!) in wine 1.4.0 and I set dinput 8 as native but it is not working.
The game starts okay, but after I press Enter, the loading screen shows up and it doesn't change even after 5 minutes
I really want to play that game.
Please help

I also tried Playonlinux but the setup.exe doesn't open.

Okay, now I figured a way to install it in playonlinux but now when I run it(with Playonlinux), it isn't even running! The screen goes blank but I can change workspaces as if nothing has happened!
Help is very very needed :(.

POL uses wine AYAK.

So have you looked in appdb at winehq searching for MotoGP3?

http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=9778&iTestingId=68994&bShowAll=true

Does not look promising as if you do get installer to run when starting game there is no input.

Keep trying. Try POLmessenger to ask for advice.

There are so many facets to making this work it is difficult to comprehend what is being expected of machine/hardware. Is it drivers? Is it dependencies? Is it launch commands? Is it PoL? Is it wine? Is it OS? Is it game?

Older flavours of ubuntu have better success at running older games through wine/ pol. Newer flavours have system security features that prevent .msi /.exe working. These features can be stopped but this is not recommended.

Steam and CrossOver have MotoGP08.

What a great thing it would be if you could play any game you like with only paying for the pc,game and internet connection!?

Windows8 rp provides an excellent way to show how things should work!?

Ubuntu just aint gamer friendly as "games for pc" should be/is more like "games for windows"

We are in times of great anticipation though-VALVE are proving linux is more than capable of out performing windows when running games.

We just have to be patient if we want to play games on ubuntu(keep your old dvds) but in the mean time if you want to play games try win8.

In ubuntu 12.04 and windows 8 rp motogp 08 installer ran but game would crash when launched. So in windows 8 rp by adding motogp 08 to Steam Library(after installing with DVD) and letting steam manage launcher motogp 08 is playable in windowed mode on win 8 rp :p ;) :guitar:and using xbox 360 controller which this game has native support for.(select in game options)
