After upgrading to the newest version, the Pan-newsreader has stopped working. It doesn't seem to save passwords any longer; and when I try to connect, I get an error indicating wrong password before the connection is dropped.
Also, how can I get Pan to work properly with SSL (secure encrypted connection)?
Alternatively, are there any other news-readers for Linux that makes it easy to download a large amount of messages and saving their attachments (binaries, mostly pictures) in a good and orderly way? Some sort of cue (like in Pan) would pretty much be a must, so I can mark articles in other groups while the previous bunch is downloading.
