Dear all
I am noting some strange behaviour with this brand-new machine after a 12.04 install:

1. Hibernate doesn't work (this is as advertised, but would appreciate a fix). There is sufficient swap space. The error is 'Function not implemented'

2. Suspend is erratically waking up after about 3-4 hours. This is a serious problem given that hibernate doesn't work, as the machines wakes up in the middle of the night and drains the battery completely

3. Shutdown doesn't work from the GUI--shutdown returns back to the login screen. On the command prompt, shutdown -h 0 seems to work

Will be grateful for any information to fix these...

I have same problem about suspend and hibernate.
My laptop is asus u41jf, I find a solution that worked for me. It's correct suspend but hibernate still does not work.
