Hey all,
I tried upgrading to 12.04 from 11.10 on my AMD x64 box. Everything downloaded but it hung at unpacking the program. Nothing worked. Couldn't click on the terminal, synaptic or do a reboot. I did a hard reboot and loaded 11.04 from disk. In loading the OS, I only got to a barely functional state before I got a message telling me the update manager wasn't working and the installation quit. Looks like everything is functional right now, but can update manager be fixed?
Serious problem...thought it was running ok, got an error message saying 11.04 needed to close so I thought I would reboot. But the "close" o. ption wasn't availab so I did a hard reboot and all I have is thsis message, "init: ureadahead main process (360) terminated with status 5".
