Hey all,
New to Ubuntu, and I have given fixing this a dam good try but I am at the end of my tether.
Essentially, as VMware users are no doubt aware, their kernel update feature is bugged and doesn't complete.
I found a way to patch this using kernels, and downloaded the relevant .tar for 7.1.6.
My issue is when I try to run the patch I get this error:
patch-modules_3.4.0.sh: 27: [: workstation7.1.6: unexpected operator
patch-modules_3.4.0.sh: 28: [: workstation7.1.6: unexpected operator
Sorry, this script is only for VMWare WorkStation 7.1.6 or VMWare Player 3.1.6. Exiting
Now seeing as I installed 7.1.6 about 30 seconds before running the shell command I can't quite work out why I would get this error. I am using Ubuntu 12.04. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Owen
