I want to lock the desktop wallpaper, i tried with dconf-editor, gconf-editor.... but not luck.... :( Anybody knows how to???

Do you have other users accessing your account that are changing the wallpaper ? If so you could have them setup use their own accounts or leave the guest session open when you are not around if you have the latest release.If you try to remove the ubuntu-wallpaper package from synaptic it will remove ubuntu-desktop and ubuntu-art also and you don't want to do that.

If you could block or lock the wallpaper it would still be possible to add an image from the internet.
