You tried to install British Summer?

You do realise that exposure to that much water would immediately invalidate any warranty on your electronics, right? ;)

I can see the IoW today

That reminds me of an old Cornish saying:

"If you can't see the Scilly Isles, it's raining.
If you can see the Scilly Isles, it's just about to rain!"

I'm in central Sweden - if you find that British summer see if the Swedish summer is hanging out with it and send it home.

Don't worry, it will be along later - remember, the weather always pays its debts!

The trouble is this kind of is the debt being repaid. We had a ridiculously mild winter.

I have noticed, the British farmers are saying it will affect the price of all the crops they grow. We can't win with them though, it's either too warm, too cold, too wet, too dry. ;-)

I get a similar error here when I attempt to install the package "snow" :).

I find there are no longer distinct seasons (in UK anyway). We get some glorious sunshine in November, December, January... cold rainy days in July and August... and was it last year we had snow in May? It plays havok with my wardrobe, I never know what to wear!!

I heard on the grapevine that BS is going into "Pre-release" next week.

Might have to do a "sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" next week to see if it pulls it in ?
