i was browsing on the web and came across this weird library of operating systems website called get-linux.net (http://get-linux.net):D i know this is an ubuntu forum but theres alot of ubuntu based linux distros on here as well its really neat so my question is has anyone else seen this? show ubuntu some love and give it a five star rating on their site

I just checked the website, and there are no posts in the forum. So, it looks like no one else has discovered it either.

I prefer to download an OS directly from the Project's website or using the Project's mirrors and torrents linked to on the Project's website.

I agree with obtaining software from a reliable source (which is mostly the Linux project itself).

If you would try the "Get Linux is a portable and open source download client, which interacts with a server side library for downloading numerous Linux-based operating systems"
from http://get-linux.net/software/ just to try out different linux distributions,
then I'd recommend using it on an old machine or in VirtualBox.
And if you have found your favorite distribution, then get it from the original source.

What a terrible website!

They need to do some work on the presentation and layout.

I would go to distrowatch.com for news and information much more helpful !

I like the idea of this website which is a tracker for linux .iso files being shared via bittorrent.

I just wish that it were put together better.
