Hi, I need to open images most times with my standard image viewer, but sometimes with gimp or another program. I could use "right click" and "open with" in Nautilus, but I want to customize a shortcut, for better performance. Is that possible?

I work on Xubuntu 12.04 with Nautilus as default File Manager. Thunar is also running, as I understand, because it is needed to manage the desktop in Xubuntu.

Thanks, kl

you need
nautilus-scripts-manager not to be confused with a similarly named package.

i dont understand how it is used, it looks complicated, but that is what you are looking for.

you may just be missing this plugin
nautilus-actions
