In George Orwells book 1984 there are 3 superpowers constantly at war (if that's what you want to call it) with eachother. The people in each superpower are taught to hate the people in the superpower(s) they are currently (were always) at war with.

I live in Oceania.

And by propagating this "I belong to what" poll... doesn't it seems to perpetuate the hate too?

hmmm... ok... let's start the war again! :)
Do they teach you in Oceania that once Portugal and Spain had the luxuary of spliting the world in two? Portugal OWNED half of the world and Spain the other half. Oceania didn't 'EXIST' yet.

This is a very poor way of finding out where people are from-- continents would be more effective... that said, I LOVE 1984, and I'm from Oceania, though like someone else said "Define 'belong to'"

The question might be, who are we at war with this week?

We've always been allied with Eastasia and at war with Eurasia so it doesn't matter ;) .

I am a citizen of the world, I 'belong' to no power, super or otherwise. I would fight for my loved ones or against evil, I would never fight for a power.
