xform

When do you think we'll see xform in linux, I know xform haven't been drafted up properly but it will offer a easier way of writting applications.
I'm just wondering if the gnome guys will be working on something like this.
Has this been planned yet because I believe this will become the norm for writting interfaces.

Maybe someone knows something I don't about upcoming xform support

Do you mean this - http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/, if so, it is a web technology, so what does it have to do with GNOME? If you mean web browser support, Gecko (Firefox's rendering engine) will support it at some point.

Yes I am on about the w3c standard concerning xforms.
It is a internet based technogly but it can be used to make up interfaces.
Songbird uses XUL which is what mozilla is based on all I am thinking is that if the gnome team made a libxform that it could be used throughout the desktop.

Reason why I asked if gnome will support this is because they were the ones that created the famous libxml which is used by php

question is would you sacrifice speed and stability of low end machines to use the latest wiz bang technologies?

I personally would due to the joys of xml if xml can be used for configs then xml can be used for a interface imo.
It would certainly help make things cross platform.
