View Full Version : What OpenPGP SHA2 hash are you using - 256 or 512?

Wondering what people are using nowadays to sign emails and keys with in OpenPGP if you decided to use SHA2 instead of SHA1. Are you using Sha-256 or Sha-512?

I've read a few places that SHA-512 is faster than 256 on 64-bit CPUs. I assume 512 is more secure as well because its longer and has more passes (64 vs 80) than 256.

I don't know I just chose 4096 rsa since that was the longest I could choose
