Building a new rig, but wondering why there are no more i5s with 4 cores... I remember that earlier when I was checking on the intel website, there were i5s that were quad-core.

What are you talking about?

i5: 3330S, 3330, 3450S, 3450, 3470S, 3470, 3475S, 3550S, 3550, 3570T, 3570S, 3570, 3570K are all 4-core 4-threads.

i7: 3770T, 3770S, 3770, 3770K are all 4-core 8-threads.

The only i5 that is not 4-core is the 3470T, 2-core 4-thread

The above are all the latest Ivy Bridge CPUs.

Just buy a 3570K i5 CPU.
