Alright so ive checked around the forums for the same problem as i have but im afraid they might have a different laptop configuration.

So I am basically sick and tired of windows on my laptop, and i want to get rid of it. I'd like to know how I could go about doing this without "bricking" my laptop. I know thats a cellphone term, but i didnt know anything else to write.
Here is a screenshot of Gparted:

Sorry no one responded to you ... but you could have accomplished the same by booting from an Ubuntu CD and choosing the install option of using the entire drive. That would have removed all the existing Windows partitions, created new Linux partitions, and installed Ubuntu to them.
