I have been a Ubuntu 10.04 user for almost two years. Now I migrated to Xubuntu. In Ubuntu 10.04 one can manually reorder task (window) list in the panel. It is easier o find what I want when I have many windows open. Is there any simple way to achieve this in Xubuntu? I upgraded xfce 4.10 from the built in 4.8 thinking the feature would be there. But unfortunately it isn't.
Thanks

As of xfce 4.10, You can indeed manually reorder tasklist buttons:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7058
To enable it, in the properties for the tasklist, choose "allow drag and drop" or whatever it's called. Off the top of my head, to get to the tasklist properties, you have to right click the panel, choose edit panel, then right click the edge of the window tasklist (should be surrounded by a red border), and click properties or something.
Not sure why it isn't enabled by default.
