My sister in law asked me to install Mint on her lappy and she's been quite happy to date but obviously her friends keep teling her about kewl stuff they do on windows and recomend those proggies to her.

I inevitably get the phone call " How do I do such and such" or "what is the Linux equivelent" ?

Well .. The Latest one is DaisyTrail and it's various bits.

From what I can gather, it's a scrapbooking kind of blog thing with a graphics proggie called Craft Artist that looks similar to what Print Artist used to be.

I tried to get Craft Artist to run under wine but it failed to install.

Can anyone recommend a Linux equivelent please ?

I would recommend you to install Gimp on her computer. In my opinion one of the best graphic programs.

Btw, with Gimp I made beautiful wedding present once, without need of some templates.
