Hello all!
I have a confusing problem. I followed the instructions provided here http://www.pendrivelinux.com/ and almost succeeded.
The problem is that the USB Flashdrive boots but ONLY boots to the installer. The only options presented are to INSTALL Ubuntu,NOT to simply boot into Ubuntu as a usable desktop OS.I thought that after following the instructions I had to "install" Ubuntu on the Flash Drive but the installer only shows my hard disk, not the Flash Drive.
I thought I was installing Ubuntu 12.04-alternate-AMD64 to the Flashdrive to run off the drive itself, thinking it would do just that.
Have I done something incorrectly? Used the wrong method ? My goal was to create a USB drive with a usable Ubuntu installation on it NOT a USB installer.
Any help out there?
Thank you in advance for your patience and expertise!
