Hi,
I'm quite new to Linux and Ubuntu, but I have completely
jumped from Windows to Ubuntu because I like it very much.
I set everything up to my favor and installed games and
tools that I(may) need and use. I also ran the 'Update Manager'
and updated it completely.
Today I get some weird things happening on my Ubuntu desktop.
I'm using 'Gnome 3' by the way.
If I do something like opening a file, or placing a file on
desktop, everything on the desktops crashes or hides, I don't
exactly know because I don't get any message.
It seems like this all happened after I ran 'Update Manager'
and installed all the new updates. Does any of you know what
the problem can be?
To show the icons on the desktop again, I open the map 'Files'
or 'Computer' and then the icons come back again. If not, I
always do a reboot then. It's very irritating me.
I would really appreciate if you can help me solve this 'weird'
problem.
EDIT: It mostly happens when I empty trash.. Any clues?
Thanks in advance,
I. Cingisiz
