Trouble with Partationing Hard Driver

When I try to partation the hard drive, it says, "I keep " ext4 file system creation in partation #1 failed." What do I do?

More detail please of what you are trying to do, what you are using to partition (gparted?) and current partition setup from output of
sudo fdisk -llower case L at end, not 1.
