I've just installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my HP Pavillion a1600n (AMD 64 X2 3800+ 2.0 GHz, 3GB RAM, GeForce 6150 LE). The live session was fine, and everything is normal up to the login. Once I log in, I have a mouse pointer on a black background. Eventually when the screen locks and I log back in, it returns me to the default Ubuntu background, but no panels or menus visible. I can get to text mode by CTRL+ALT+F1, but returning to graphics mode I still have an empty desktop. Any ideas on resolving this?
