View Full Version : [ubuntu] How to disable spooling/queueing when printing

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04. My printer is Brother MFC-240CN (CUPS v1.1) with CUPS v1.5. I would like to avoid printing jobs to be queued (waiting for printer to be ready) before going to printer. I would like that printing job goes directly to printer without using buffer memory/spool, like in Windows. Is it possible?

Because everyday, when I print something, my printer cleans itself automatically prior to print my text file. So the job is queued. Then just after cleaning finished and ready, my printer prints the first page from queue, but prints only a half of the page. So this page is wasted, but the next ones are OK.
