launcher icons

I did not see this mentioned anywhere before. I have two computers, on with a dual core that works perfectly.
The other has an i5 chip (64-bit) that works well with the exception I cannot delete icons from the unit launcher. A right click always activates the chosen program.

Hello and Welcome

You can try the following in the terminal which will restore the panel icons to default. You will have to add your most used apps again, but it may solve the problem.
unity --reset-icons

Your suggested maneuver does not seem to have changed anything, but I appreciate the effort.
