View Full Version : [ubuntu] Upraded to 12.04 and can't open dash?

July 4th, 2012, 08:00 PM
As the title says, I upgraded to 12.04 from 11.10 with no problems until I rebooted and now I can't open my dash. If I click the dash home button the top bar turns the sort of transparent version of my background that the dash does when it opens but no matter how long I leave it, the dash doesn't launch.
Also, I'm having a weird graphic problem that I didn't mention in the title because I'm not sure how to describe it. Basically the name of the options on the dash when I scroll over them are surrounded by a red box?

Okay, I was trying to put pictures of each error in here but it won't let me put in pictures from flickr so I'll just give you the links.

You probably have, but just to be sure.. Have you rebooted again?

Also, what happens when you run in 2D mode?

I've rebooted twice actually. (Figured it couldn't hurt to try running the available recommended updates and rebooting.)
Sorry, to reveal my noob-ness, but how do I get to 2D mode?
