Problem installing security updates

Hello - I am experiencing a problem installing security updates. I get an error message that reads:

Could not calculate the upgrade

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.'


Can someone help me to figure out how I report this and how to fix the problem? thanks.

Try from Terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T):


sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Thanks! I did both of those commands and I think it mostly worked but there are few remaining error messages. Iʻm not sure if any are fatal flaws or not. However, I notice when I start update manager from my menu bar I still get the error message I originally got.

Can you help me interpret the remaining errors - below?
