View Full Version : [all variants] 3.4 kernel and wifi

July 3rd, 2012, 10:06 AM
I've installed the 3.4 kernel (dpkg) to get around the ivy bridge hang problem in the previous kernels. But, can't figure out how to get wifi working.

The log file: /var/lib/dkms/bcmwl/

DKMS make.log for bcmwl- for kernel 3.4.0-030400-generic (x86_64)

The asm/system.h doesn't seem to be part of the 3.4. So, am I right in thinking that I can change /var/lib/dkms/bcmwl/ to simply include something else (whatever the new equivalent is)?

Any thoughts?

Edit: No worries - I found a fix at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcmwl/+bug/994255
