I posted this in the general forum with no help. Maybe here is a better place...
I have a AMD A6 CPU/GPU with Radeon 6530 HD integrated graphics and 8 GB ram. Whenever I boot to a live desktop with the live CD (ubuntu or xubuntu flavors) my display stops working - the monitor stops getting a signal from the PC.
I have tried various boot settings from the help menu on the CD - nomodeset, xforcevesa, lga=771, and none of them do the trick. Does anyone know the right settings at boot or whatever to bypass my issues? Or how to troubleshoot it?
